Scott Johnson founded New Day Homecare with a simple but powerful vision: to provide the kind of care he'd want for his own family members. With over 20 years of experience in healthcare and a deep understanding of the challenges families face when caring for aging loved ones, Scott built New Day Homecare on principles of compassion, professionalism, and genuine care.
As a family-owned startup, New Day Homecare reflects Scott's commitment to treating every client like family. He personally oversees Health Care Aide selection and training, ensuring that every team member embodies the values of compassion, reliability, and excellence that define the company.

Ed De Guzman
Care Manager
Edwin De Guzman is an accomplished healthcare professional bringing over 25 years of combined experience in nursing and laboratory science to his role as Care Manager. A graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology/Laboratory Science, Ed's career reflects a strong foundation in clinical practice, patient care, and leadership within diverse healthcare settings.
As an active member of the Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta, Ed upholds the highest standards of professional nursing practice and patient advocacy. His extensive background spans both clinical and administrative domains, allowing him to integrate compassionate care with evidence-based management strategies.
With 18 years of experience in managerial positions, Ed has successfully led multidisciplinary teams, implemented quality improvement initiatives, and optimized patient care programs. His leadership philosophy emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and a patient-centered approach to healthcare delivery.
In his new position as Care Manager, Ed is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, ensuring the highest level of care for patients while supporting the professional growth and well-being of his team.
